The day after I learned that Best Laid Plans won the historical category of The Shiela writing contest put on by Valley Forge Romance Writers, I learned that my manuscript was also a top 3 finalist for The Golden Rose.

Needless to say, it was a very good lead-up for the RWA conference, held here in Colorado this year. It was a bit overwhelming, but being around thousands of other romance writers, learning, networking, and partying (of course!) was wonderful in ways I hadn’t even imagined. Thanks for a great conference RWA, and see you all next year when I’ll be graduated from “pre-published author” to “Published”!
